There are four methods for cleaning microporous filter membranes to remove sediment: physical cleaning, chemical cleaning, physical chemical cleaning, and electric cleaning. This mainly introduces physical and chemical cleaning.
1. Physical cleaning.
The physical cleaning of microporous filter membranes is the use of mechanical methods to remove pollutants from the surface of microfiltration membranes. This method has the characteristics of not introducing new pollutants and simple cleaning steps, but it is only effective for microfiltration membranes in the early stage of pollution, and the cleaning effect cannot be sustained. Physical cleaning includes various methods, such as forward cleaning, changing direction cleaning, liquid back pressure cleaning, vibration, exhaust water filling, air spraying, automatic sponge ball cleaning, hydraulic methods, gas-liquid pulse, cyclic cleaning, etc.
2. Backwashing refers to the method of removing surface pollutants from microfiltration membranes by blowing gas or liquid sideways. Pay attention to operating at a lower pressure (approximately 132kPa) to avoid causing the microfiltration membrane to rupture. The recoil time is generally 20-30 minutes.
3. Static soaking and hydraulic backwashing are effective methods to improve the long-term continuous operation of microfiltration membrane components with reduced permeability and difficulty in regeneration.
4. The mechanical scraping of microporous membrane components can be cleaned with soft foam plastic balls, sponge balls (with a diameter slightly larger than the inner diameter of the microfiltration membrane tube), and internal pressure microporous membrane. The foam and sponge balls can be repeatedly passed through the surface of the microfiltration membrane by water to mechanically remove pollutants. This method can almost remove all soft dirt, but hard dirt is not only difficult to remove, but also easy to damage the surface of the microfiltration membrane. Therefore, this method is particularly suitable for cleaning the surface of contaminated microfiltration membranes mainly composed of organic colloids.
